The Private Outpatient\u2019s department (POPD) of the hospital together with our sub-specialty services form a unique center for comprehensive ophthalmology in Bangladesh. An all-in-one facility that excels in the provision of advanced eye care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our POPD doctors and consultants provide a general check-up with refraction (for spectacles), measurement of internal eye pressure (IOP), and duct test for watering eyes. Surgical advice is given where applicable and sub-specialty services are available when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  4. Patients are usually seen by appointment.<\/mark><\/li>
  5. Walk-in appointments are seen on a first come first served basis on all working days.<\/mark><\/li>
  6. Please come 20 minutes before the appointment time and present the appointment slip at the reception.<\/mark><\/li>
  7. Patients are allowed to bring\u00a0only one attendant.<\/strong><\/mark><\/li>
  8. Children below 15 years of age are not allowed unless they are patients.<\/mark><\/li>
  9. Please call us for any change in your appointment.<\/mark><\/li>
  10. Subspecialty services are provided where required<\/mark><\/li>
  11. The most up to date equipment in ophthalmic services<\/mark><\/li>
  12. A newly renovated waiting room with cable television, air-conditioning and a caf\u00e9. We also have a secure car park.<\/mark><\/li>
  13. We endeavour to see patients within 30 minutes if they have an appointment and within two hours if they are walk-in patients. We have recently extended the number of doctors and paramedics in POPD to expedite our services. Patients are accompanied by staff to whichever department they may need to go.<\/mark><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    POPD and GOPD form an excellent model in providing services for all sections of society. Our overarching mission is to provide quality eye care to all those who need it through a system of cross-subsidisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The POPD is manned by 44 Consultants 38 paramedics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The hospital is open from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm from Saturday to Wednesday, and from 7.30 till 1.30 on Thursdays. The hospital is closed on Fridays and Government holidays except for emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Registration Fee:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The registration fee for POPD is TK 1000<\/strong> and is valid for 15 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
