Course Description:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Fellowship training requires more in-depth knowledge about the pathophysiology and management of ophthalmic diseases that can usually be obtained in residency training in Ophthalmology. This is a program of continuous period of intense and focused training in developing and maintaining knowledge, skills, scholarship, and professionalism.<\/p>\n

Subspecialty Fellowship training for glaucoma encompasses the following areas:<\/p>\n

  1. The fellowship program is designed to endow the fellows with an in-depth understanding about the pathophysiology and management of glaucoma and related ocular and systemic disorders.<\/li>\n
  2. The program aims at providing an advanced level of training in the diagnosis, medical and surgical management of glaucoma which will in turn equip the fellows to manage patients with complex and\/or severe glaucoma disorders and associated ocular and systemic conditions.<\/li>\n
  3. It also facilitates research activities in the field of glaucoma.<\/li>\n
  4. To gain skills in community eye service, one month placement in any branch hospital (for local fellows).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Duration:<\/strong><\/span> The duration of fellowship is\u00a018 months for local candidates \/ 15 months for international candidates.<\/strong><\/p>\n
