DO inauguration:

Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital has been conducting the diploma course since 1994 & around 260 students completed their DO from this institute, serving as a renowned ophthalmologist in different sectors of Bangladesh. As a consequence of this thread,10 students were admitted to the Diploma of Ophthalmology in this session 2021-2023. 7^th September’21, the Education Dept of IIEH, organized a warm inauguration ceremony for them.

A symposium was organized by Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital about 11^th Asia- Pacific Eye Care week (11-17^th October’2021) in conjunction with World Sight Day’2021 (14^th October’21) held on 25^th October’21 at 12.30 p.m.

It was a prestigious moment to have with us Prof. Ava Hossain, President (Elec) of Asia Pacific Academy Of Ophthalmology, Prof. A.K.M.A  Muqtadir, President OSB (Ophthalmic Society Of Bangladesh), Asso. Prof  Tariq Reza Ali, Secretary-General (OSB). The two Major themes were ‘Eye Involvement and symptoms from covid-19 infection’ and “Optic neuritis”.

The 18^th European Vitreo Retina Society (EVRS) meeting was held from 30^th August – 2^nd September 2018 at Rodolfirum Concert Hall in Praque, Czech Republic. The motto was “Striving for Excellence in Medical and Surgical Retina.” About 479 vitreo retina surgeons from 54 different countries including world famous retina surgeons attended that seminar and presented their valuable research papers. Among them Dr Arif Hayat Khan Pathan and Dr Mahjabeen Choudhury from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital presented their papers and represented the hospital at the international arena.

On 30^th October 2018, the new Pediatric OPD at New Annex Building of Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital (IIEI&H) was inaugurated by the Chairman of IIEI&H and CEO of Standard Chartered Bank. Distinguished persons of the city and Senior officials of IIEI&H were present at this event.

The 45th Annual National Conference of OSB (Ophthalmological Society of Bangladesh) was held from 13-15 March at Carnival Hall at Bangabandhu International Conference Center, Dhaka. Doctors from IIEI&H attended that conference and presented their valuable research papers. Among them, two doctors got awards based on their research papers

It is our immense pleasure to announce that our institute achieved 100% success rate in the last DO examination (session 2019-2021)

A Grand celebration ceremony was held on 5^th December’21 to congratulate and farewell the young geniuses, who achieved excellent success and earned glory for the institution.

Dr. Mostafiz Hossain Limon has started his FCPS-Part II Academic Course from 1st January’22 in our Institute.
