Optometry Course-1: DOT (Diploma in ophthalmic Techniques)

 

Course Description:

Extensive hands on training to assist practicing ophthalmologists in routine clinical eye examination including refraction in Outpatient Department and not for independent practice.

Requirements/Eligibility:

  • SSC & HSC Science

Duration:  2 Years

Optometry Course-2: MLOP Assistant

 

Course Description:

Extensive hands on training to perform common ophthalmic diagnostic procedures for assistance in managing ophthalmic patients-A Govt. course run by IIEI&H.

Requirements/Eligibility:

  • SSC Science/Arts/Commerce

Duration:  1 Year

Optometry Course-3: Refraction Training Program

 

Course Description:

Hands on training for learning refraction for candidates from eye care service provider

Requirements/Eligibility:

  • Optometrists who has passed SSC & HSC (science) with mathematics, biology, Physics
  • Completed minimum one year certificate/ diploma course in optometry.

Duration: 6 Months

Session:  Depends on the Availability of Slot


Optometry Course-4: Low Vision Training Program

 

Course Description:

Orientation program to learn how to dispense low visual aids

Requirements/Eligibility:

  • Optometrist: who has passed HSC (Science) with Mathematics, Biology and Physics
  • Completed minimum one-year certificate/Diploma course in Optometry and skilled in refraction.
  • Ophthalmologist: Should be skilled in refraction.

Duration: 1 & 3 Months

Session:  Depends on the Availability of Slot


Optometry Course-5: Orthoptic Training

 

Course Description:

Hands on training for evaluation of misaligned eyes, defective eye movement and problems with binocular vision.

Requirements/Eligibility:

  • Optometrist: who has passed HSC (Science) with Mathematics, Biology and Physics
  • Completed minimum one-year certificate/Diploma course in Optometry and skilled in refraction.
  • Ophthalmologist: Should be skilled in refraction.

Duration: 6 Months

Session:  Depends on the Availability of Slot
